Sec. 02 — Funding advisors
Who you will actually talk to.
One advisor owns your file from the first call through to funding. There is no handoff to a closing team that has never seen your business.
Curtis Mbeki
Senior Funding Advisor — Equipment and cold chain
Omaha — since 2019
Curtis spent eight years installing and servicing commercial refrigeration before moving to the desk, which means he can usually tell from the contractor’s quote what has been left out of it. He handles most of the walk-in and blast chiller book.
Annika Solberg
Senior Funding Advisor — SBA and real estate
Omaha — since 2021
Annika built the SBA desk when it launched and handles most of the consolidation files — processors trying to get out from under stacked advances. She is blunt about timelines, which customers occasionally find unwelcome and later find useful.
Hector de la Cruz
Funding Advisor — Livestock and producer finance
Fort Worth — since 2022
Hector ran his own backgrounding operation in the Texas panhandle before joining MMC, and still keeps cattle. He handles feeder and breeding stock files and is the person who asks about feed contracts and yard capacity before he asks about credit.
Yosef Abramovich
Funding Advisor — Northeast distribution and certified markets
Melville — since 2023
Yosef spent fifteen years in kosher retail and wholesale in Brooklyn before joining the Melville desk. He handles the certified markets book across the Northeast and understands why separation requirements produce capital costs that generate no additional throughput.
Brenda Castellanos
Funding Advisor — Restaurants and groups
Melville — since 2024
Brenda opened and ran kitchens for a nine-unit steakhouse group before moving into finance, and has personally built out four restaurants. She handles restaurant and group files and is very good at spotting a buildout budget that has forgotten the hood.
Travis Ngoma
Funding Advisor — Seafood and import
Omaha — since 2024
Travis spent seven years buying and importing seafood on the Gulf and West Coasts. He handles the factoring and working capital book for seafood wholesalers, where the gap between paying at the dock and collecting on net 45 defines the whole business.
